Semester Online is a truly unique online educational experience. We’re looking for high-achieving college students to enroll in our courses. We welcome applications from undergraduate students studying at schools worldwide. Students are able to take just one course, or a full semester's worth of courses. If you’re ready to take part in something completely new with the best and brightest students across the globe, we encourage you to apply.
The Summer 2014 course catalog and application are now live. Summer courses run nine weeks from June 9 to August 8 and meet twice per week in the live, online platform. Classes are capped at twenty students per course, so we encourage you to enroll as soon as possible to secure a spot. Fall 2014 courses will be announced on the website in early-March.
Admission to Semester Online is based on each candidate’s academic achievement and potential. You will be evaluated on the strength of your transcript, and only select candidates will be accepted into Semester Online courses.
To qualify for admission, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be currently enrolled in a regionally accredited institution
- Be in good academic standing
Exceptions to these requirements are considered on a case-by-case basis by the Semester Online Admissions Committee.
Semester Online welcomes applications from international students. Students studying at universities outside of the United States are welcome to submit an application by emailing email@example.com or submitting the online application. We will notify applicants as soon as their application has been fully considered.
Admission to Semester Online is extremely selective, so we recommend that you apply for your courses as early as possible. Before you apply, please note that the course times listed in the catalog are listed in Eastern Standard Time.
To apply, you are required to submit your transcript in English, or submit a transcript accompanied by an official English translation. Ask your institution if they can issue a transcript in English. If your institution is not able to issue transcripts in English, you must provide an official translation to be considered for admission to Semester Online. There are many online translation services; be sure that the service you use is certified.
You can submit your transcript by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can mail it: Semester Online, 8201 Corporate Dr., Suite 900, Landover, MD 20785.
Please keep in mind that international applications may take a longer time to process than domestic applications, so your admissions decision could arrive at a later date than indicated for each deadline.
